Lantern Light Holiday Celebration at Heritage Farmstead Museum
Dec 01, 2018
2018 is the 31st anniversary of this wonderful holiday event. Traditionally, over 100 kerosene lanterns adorn the property and the glow is beautiful when the sun goes down. This year, to hark back to the first Lantern Light in 1986, we will reenact the Tour by Lantern Light. A Presidential Tour is on exhibit in the Farrell Wilson House allowing for the presidential themed Christmas tree (presidents pre-1930), and so much more. Children's choirs will sing in the PoleBarn from 3pm to 9pm, and there will be a special Winter Wonderland activity in the Meadow. There will be children's crafts, horse driven wagon rides, tasty treats in the PoleBarn, candle dipping, homemade Christmas crafts for sale in the Country Store, and North Texas Story Tellers will be telling tales from 4pm to 8pm. Santa Claus will be on hand from 4pm to 7pm.
