The YWCA of Lubbock is so excited to host the third iNSPiRe speaking series event of 2023! Join us for INSPIRING VOICES | BREAKING CHAINS with Lovern Gordon on Thursday, October 19th from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the YWCA on University. Tickets are $30 and include a delicious lunch.

Lovern Gordon is a two-time sur-THRIVER of domestic violence. Today, Lovern uses her personal experience to make a difference in the lives of others through her foundation - Love Live Now, Inc. - a global awareness and educational organization that supports survivors of abuse through year-round initiatives and direct assistance to other DV programs. Lovern is also an author of a domestic violence memoir called, The Legacy He Left Me. Sought after for her insight and eloquence regarding domestic violence, Lovern has appeared on numerous radio, podcasts and television shows including CBS This Morning and ABC4 News Utah, NBC Boston’s This is New England and in the Caribbean via Trinidad’s TV6 News. Print features include a cover story article for Huffington Post, USA Today, CIO Views Magazine, Boston Voyager Magazine and The Story Exchange.
