Holiday Village in Brownsville Hours and Admission Prices
For nearly six weeks each year, Brownsville’s Dean Porter Park becomes the magical Holiday Village. The village’s 34 custom designed cottages are decorated both inside and out for the season. The miniature city includes reproductions of historic homes, businesses, the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, a one-room schoolhouse, and Mercy Hospital, to name a few. Santa sets up shop here, as well. You’ll see his bustling workshop, an elf bunkhouse, a reindeer barn, and his hunt and fishing lodge where he can take a much-needed break!
Holiday Village’s grand opening celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Live performances, giveaways, and tasty treats are on tap. The official lighting ceremony of the village’s constellation of twinkling lights happens at 7 p.m. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly outing or taking a nostalgic walk down memory lane, Holiday Village offers something for everyone. Holiday Village is open daily from the Monday before Thanksgiving through January 1st.
Holiday Village Hours
- Sunday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The village’s lights come on each evening at 6 p.m.

Holiday Village Contests, Entertainment, and Amenities
- Find Fritter the Elf in a different cottage each day from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. Post a pic of yourself outside Fritter’s hideout on Facebook or Instagram to be entered into a prize drawing.
