Enjoy the Annual Wildflower Arts and Crafts Festiva in Salado! This family-friendly festival hosts numerous arts & crafts vendors selling extraordinary, handcrafted items from all over the state. Shop from a large variety of talented crafters including woodworking, jewelry, original paintings, photography, pottery, toymakers, soap makers, knitting/crochet, embroidery, and more!

Salado Legends
Celebrating over 30 years of performances, Salado Legends is the favorite outdoor musical of Central Texas. The epic tale is told with original songs and ensemble dance numbers weaving history, legend and memories into a family-friendly drama. Come see the performance of an epic tale hailed by the Library of Congress as a “a record of life in America at the end of the 19th century."

October

Sirena's Creekside Carnival
Taking place the first Saturday in October, the carnaval honors the beloved tale of native Tonkawan maiden, Sirena, by bringing together the community for a day of fun with the purpose of investing back into the community and providing a space that children of all abilities can enjoy. The day will kick off with a parade at 9:30 a.m. There will be activities for families to include a “Wild Animal Zoo Show”, live music, stilt walkers, a belly dancer, mermaids and so much more.

Christmas in October Jingle Walk
The Salado Ladies Community League hosts the annual Christmas in October Jingle Walk, the second weekend in October. This fundraiser has signaled the start of the holiday season in Salado for over 40 years. Proceeds sponsor grants and scholarships benefiting the Salado community. Ticketholders have three days to visit 25 retailers, receive a gift from each, qualify for door prizes, and get an early start on Christmas shopping. Tickets go on sale September 1 at https://centraltexastickets.com/ and tickets are limited!

Oktoberfest at Barrow Brewing Company
Raise your beer stein in a toast to this lively celebration at Salado's own Barrow Brewing Company. Savor German food, delicious beer, games, and live music at the brewery in mid-October.

Scottish Gathering & Highland Games
For over 60 years the annual Scottish Gathering & Highland Games celebrates the heritage of Salado! Be entertained by bagpipe bands, dancers, and musicians. Celebrate with the Scottish clans, shop the many vendors, and cheer on the athletes as they compete in traditional games! Hosted by the Salado Museum & College Park, the second weekend of each November.

A Christmas Carol
Experience the quintessential holiday tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future at the Tablerock outdoor amphitheater.

Christmas Stroll
