Cameron ISD Performing Arts Center
Opened in 2004, the performing arts center at C.H. Yoe High School is a hub for arts and culture in the Cameron area. Inside the 23,000-square-feet venue, you might catch a performance by the Temple Symphony Orchestra, Little Joe y La Familia, or the local community theater troupe.

City Pool Park
City Pool Park features a splash pad, basketball and sand volleyball courts, and areas for horseshoes and washers. It’s also connected to a beautiful hike-and-bike trail that runs to Ben Milam Elementary School, so you have plenty of ways to work up a sweat before a refreshing dip in the water.

El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail
Fans of Texas history will know the historic El Camino Real de los Tejas, a 2,500-mile trail the Spanish began using in the 17th century. The section that runs through Milam County received the first National Historic Trail signage depicting the trail in the State of Texas. Milam Community Theater
This local theatre group has been lighting up the stage of the Williams Event Center for more than 20 years. Performances are usually held on weekends and include both classic hits and lesser-known works. Historic Milam County Jail 1895
Until 1978, the building that now houses one of the two buildings of the Milam County Museum served as the county jail and the home of the sheriff and his family. Today you can see it in much the same way as it was originally furnished, along with other relics and artifacts from the area, including dental equipment owned by longtime resident and civic leader Arthur E. Kruse, D.D.S., born in 1893. Open Tuesday and Thursday or by appointment.

Milam County Museum – Old Town Cameron Railroad Museum
This museum is the main museum that showcases the history of Milam County, Cameron, Rockdale, Thorndale, Gause, Buckholts and Milano.  The exhibits are masterly down by director Charles King. There are many artifacts from the El Camino Real de los Tejas Trail which Milam County played a significant role.

Milam County Courthouse & Cameron City Hall-McLane Municipal Center
Another can’t-miss piece of local legend is the county courthouse, built in 1892 in Renaissance Revival style at the cost of $75,000. The clock tower and statue of Justice, which were removed in the ‘30s for safety reasons, were returned in a recent restoration project that brought the beautiful building back to its former glory. 1891, Victorian-style McLane Municipal Center was also renovated in the early 2000s, and together with the courthouse acts as the epicenter of historic downtown Cameron.

Wilson-Ledbetter Park
Cameron doesn’t get more picturesque than Wilson-Ledbetter Park, with its 25 acres of green grass, the iron bridge over Brushy Creek, and the many species of wildlife. Facilities include picnic areas, hiking, and biking trails, and the American Legion Hut for group events.
