Pancakes in the Park

Comfort Townwide Garage & Plant Sale
Just in time for spring cleaning and planting, Comfort’s annual community garage sale takes place in Comfort Park and across the city. Stop by the park and pick up unique finds from vendor booths or hit one of the many garage sales held at retailers and private residences. The sale also includes plants and baked goods.

Music in the Park
Spring weather brings one of Comfort’s favorite activities: Music in the Park! The annual, six-week concert series, which spans May to June, includes a variety of musical genres, played by live bands from the Comfort Park gazebo. Sit and enjoy the music or get up and dance!

Independence Day Celebration
You’d be hard pressed to find a Fourth of July festival with as much to do as Comfort’s! It all starts with a bicycle parade for the kids, followed by a community parade chockfull of patriotic floats. Next up, the celebration moves to Comfort Park for a traditional Texas barbecue, apple pie-eating contest, silent auction, vendors, live music, and lots more.

Comfort Art Festival
Head to historic downtown Comfort to experience a wide variety of art created by Hill Country artists at the annual Comfort Art Festival. Nearly 40 artists display their wares in local shops and businesses throughout downtown. Pick up gorgeous paintings, drawings, prints, photography, jewelry, glass, and mixed media items.

Empty Bowls Comfort
At this fundraiser for Comfort Table and Food Pantry, attendees buy a ticket and choose an original item of handmade pottery. What a beautiful way to fight hunger! Empty Bowls is held annually during the Comfort Art Festival in front of restaurant-bar, Just Chillin in Comfort.

Mexican Kermesse Festival
Come and experience Sacred Heart Catholic Church’s annual traditional Mexican festival, complete with entertainment and authentic foods like tamales, gorditas, pozole, chicharrónes, and lots more. The family friendly event is held in the late afternoon and evening on the church grounds.

Scarecrow Invasion
One of Comfort’s signature events, the Scarecrow Invasion is unlike any fall phenomena you’ve seen. Around the first of October, scores of scarecrows, from the comical to the zany, appear as decorations in yards, on front porches, and even on rooftops, attracting visitors for this festive explosion of creativity. Comfort locals pull out all the stops to compete for the top award for the year’s most memorable scarecrow.
