The Wheels of Hope Car Show
On one day in late April, Garland’s downtown square is filled with eye-catching antique and classic cars that are participating in this annual event. Admission to the car show is free, and proceeds from other purchases benefit The Hope Clinic, a local non-profit that provides medical care to local residents.

Garland’s annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series is an excellent way to spend a summer evening under the beautiful Texas stars. Experience a laid-back, relaxing evening in beautiful Downtown Garland while soaking in the soothing sounds of jazz. This free event features music, vendors, coffee and good eats and is fun for the whole family! Bring your chairs and blankets for this cool jazz series in the square. Music begins at 7 p.m. and all concerts end with beautiful fireworks displays at 9:30 p.m.

Star-Spangled Spectacular
Great music, delicious food, games, and fun for all ages, and a spectacular fireworks show; what better way to observe our nation’s Independence Day? All the festivities take place at the Firewheel Town Center shopping mall, where vendors join in the celebration by offering summer sales that can’t be beaten. Admission is free, but you should consider arriving early as onsite parking is limited.

Garland Fair Fare
Get your fix of “fair fare” in one convenient, walkable location. Eateries around the downtown Garland’s historic Square offer a tantalizing menu of all things “fit to be fried” or served on a stick throughout the entire month of September. Bacon funnel cakes, chicken fried burnt ends, fried chocolate dipped strawberries are just a few examples of what you can enjoy. There is no admission fee, food items are reasonably priced (from $5 - 10), and everything can be enjoyed outdoors.

The City of Garland, Garland Association for Hispanic Affairs, Garland Independent School District, and International Leadership of Texas - Garland team up to bring you Dia De Los Muertos celebrating the history and purpose of the event in Garland.
