The event also features a quarter horse event and plenty of live music.

Midessa Boat, RV, Sport & Gun Show
Outdoors enthusiasts can’t miss the Midessa Boat, RV, Sport & Gun Show, held every February in Odessa’s Ector County Coliseum. Exhibitors showing new and top of the line gear are on hand at the event, which is open to the public. Tickets to the three-day event are available at the coliseum during the event.

Fiesta West Texas
Fiesta West Texas is a one-of-a-kind annual event that offers plenty of family-friendly fun. Carnival rides, concerts, food vendors, a washer tournament, and a children’s pageant are part of the festival, held in early May at the Ector County Coliseum.

Juneteenth Celebration
The Juneteenth Celebration in Odessa is a three-day mid-June event that commemorates the day the slaves in Texas learned of their emancipation. Musical performances, food vendors, a parade, multicultural exhibits, a talent show, and children’s activities are all part of the fun.

Hot Summer Nights

Heritage Holiday Parade
Relish the many colors of the holiday season at the Odessa Heritage Holiday Parade of Lights, an annual early-December event that starts at Odessa College and ends near downtown.

The holiday season comes to life at Odessa’s Starbright Village in McKinney Park. More than 270,000 lights and holiday-themed displays, the largest in the Permian Basin, light up the night sky throughout December. Santa also makes an appearance every Friday and Saturday throughout the month. Festivities kick off in early December with a tree lighting ceremony, which includes carolers, dancers, and plenty of hot chocolate.
