Texas Ladies State Chili Cook-Off
The aromas of spicy chili, the upbeat tunes of a live band, and the sumptuous tastes of locally made wine await at the annual Texas Ladies State Chili Cook-Off in Seguin. In addition to the main competition, the event includes the Little Miss Ladies State Chili Cook-Off, a contest for girls aged seven to 17.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in downtown Seguin with a barbecue cook-off, car show, the Circle K Run, and two evenings of live entertainment.

Fiestas Juan Seguin
Every year, the city of Seguin celebrates its namesake (Texas Revolution hero Juan Seguin) with a slew of events at Central Park in the heart of the downtown area. Watch the popular Chihuahua races and the pooch parade and check out the concerts by Texas Tejano bands. Food and craft vendors will be on hand as well, giving you plenty to see, taste, and experience.

Freedom Fiesta
Including the “Biggest Small Town 4th of July Parade in Texas,” Seguin’s Freedom Fiesta offers several day’s worth of activities throughout town. The fiesta has a flag raising in Central Park, a parade, shopping and entertainment in the downtown area. The spectacular fireworks show in Starcke Park, is a fitting way to celebrate patriotic pride.

Pecan Fest Heritage Days
The city of Seguin is nearly synonymous with pecans, in part because it’s home to the World’s Largest Pecan. This source of civic pride is celebrated throughout town as part of the Pecan Fest Heritage Days. Step onto the frontier at the Texas Agricultural and Heritage Education Center, shop until you drop, and learn other fascinating parts of Seguin’s history throughout town.

Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo
Mutton bustin’, cattle ropin’, and horseback ridin’ are all part of the fun at the Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo. Featuring Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association-sanctioned rodeo events, livestock shows, live music, a barbecue cook off, and a carnival, there’s more than enough fun for folks of all ages. Held the second week of October.

Holiday Stroll
Get into the festive holiday spirit at this annual Seguin tradition with a parade, food vendors, and pictures with Jolly Old Saint Nick himself. Held the last Thursday of November, the Holiday Stroll is the perfect way to kick off the “most wonderful time of the year.”
