Events in Somervell County

Glen Rose may be best known as the Dinosaur Capital of Texas, but the town is just as enamored by music. In fact, many of the events in Glen Rose feature the upbeat rhythms and sharp notes of bluegrass. Along with all the bluegrass, the town is also host to a festival focused on the music of the dulcimer, an uncommon instrument that traces its roots back to the Appalachian Mountains. If you enjoy music, you can't miss one of the many festivals in Glen Rose.
