Tomball German Heritage Festival
Put on your lederhosen and head to Tomball’s Market Street for this celebration of the heritage of the original German immigrants who settled the area in the 1840s. Sing and dance to German polka bands, relish the flavors of ethnic cuisine while you sip a beer or wine, and watch street performers put on a show. Activities like pony rides and a petting zoo make this festival fun for the whole family.

Honky-Tonk Chili Challenge
Chili cooks from southeast Texas converge on Tomball for this Chili Appreciation Society International-sanctioned cook-off and festival. The stakes are high as winners of the chili competition earn points towards competing in the international cook-off in Terlingua later in the year. If you come for the chili, stick around for the festival, including live country music, a kid’s zone, craft vendors and more.

Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival
What would May on the Gulf Coast be without a crawfish festival? This one-day event is a celebration of that delicious little creature known as the crawfish, crawdad, or lovingly, the mudbug! Tomball’s version includes plenty of live music, delicious food, vendors, activities for the kids, and thousands of pounds of crawfish!
Tomball July 4th Celebration and Street Festival
Come out to Tomball on July 4th for the signature flag-waving celebration as the city stages the biggest Independence Day event in northwest Harris County. Live music, cold treats, and kids’ activities will keep you busy by day, but stick around after dark for the largest fireworks show in the area!

GroovFest
Peace, love and music . . . it’s GroovFest in downtown Tomball! This award-winning festival is a flashback to the days of Buddy Holly, the Doors, and the Beatles at the Tomball Depot Museum. A giant VW show from the North Houston Volkswagen Club, groovy vendors, kids’ activities, delicious food, and magical music from the summer of love featuring The Fab 5 and more!

There’s nothing better than some good old-fashioned bluegrass to bring in the first breezes of Fall. Listen to some of the best in the business strut their stuff at the Tomball Bluegrass Festival, a one-day live music event at the end of October at the historic downtown depot. Bluegrass connoisseurs are invited to bring their instruments for the Shade Tree Jam session. The event includes festival foods, craft vendors, a kids’ zone and lots of fun!

Depot Day
Bring your family and dive into the world of trains and model railroads! Tomball celebrates its roots and National Railroad Month every November at the annual Depot Day celebration. This one-day event features Lionel O-scale, Z-scale and G-scale model railroads. Visitors will enjoy live music, the Depot museum tours and a railroad rummage sale for model railroad parts, scenery and accessories.
Christmas Tree Lighting
Kick-off the Christmas season in Tomball with music, the downtown Christmas tree lighting and an overall magical experience for all ages. Meet Santa and his North Pole friends, then grab a free holiday treat and hot chocolate.

Deck the Depot
Deck the Depot is Tomball’s annual family-friendly Christmas celebration, complete with music, activities and holiday fun. Santa and his North Pole friends will be there too! This event is filled with the Tomball community’s holiday spirit.
Tomball German Christmas Market
The German Christmas market is a tradition that dates back to the middle-ages, and is alive and well in Tomball today. Browse street vendors selling unique German-style Christmas items, arts and crafts, and food. Beer and mulled wine are available, as is a Kinderfest (kid’s area) that includes carnival rides and a petting zoo.
