Daring performances by young competitors are all part of the fun of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch Rodeo near Amarillo.
Held on Labor Day weekend, this popular annual event brings together thousands of spectators as young cowboys and cowgirls compete in roping and riding rodeo events.
adventureFEST and a barbecue lunch (where beef raised at Boys Ranch is served) take place before the rodeo. This is one of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch signature fundraising events to support their mission to “provide professional programs and services in a Christ-centered atmosphere to strengthen families and support the overall development of children.” Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch helps at-risk youth and the Boys Ranch Rodeo is a heartwarming event that will call you back year after year to cheer on these kids.
At this youth rodeo, these participants experience adventure, along with safety, belonging, achievement, power, and purpose. Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch helps them to reach their fullest potential and thrive. We watch as they persevere, work hard, and strive to improve. For one day at the Boys Ranch Rodeo, these kids turn into mutton busters, rodeo clowns, bronc riders, and barrel racers.
