May 23rd - June 9th, 2024
The beauty of the Hill Country and the toe-tapping tunes of talented musicians will surround throughout the 18-day-long Kerrville Folk Festival. Come for the weekend and pitch your tent in the Kerrville Folk Festival Campground, where you’ll meet other folks who love music just as much as you, chat around campfires, and sing a song or two yourself after spending the day listening to live music on stage.
If you’re a fan of acoustic rock, bluegrass, blues, folk music, or music in general, Kerrville’s festival always delivers. Known as a mecca for singer songwriters of all styles, the event puts those developing their craft alongside artists who have already mastered it. More than 50 musicians make up the list of performers every year, including some of the top names in the business. Music icons like Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, and Robert Earl Keen played here before they hit it big, while Peter Paul & Mary and Arlo Guthrie are among the bands that lit up the stage here in the past.
If you want to share your talents with the crowds, hop on stage during Ballad Tree Song Sharing in the afternoons each weekend. Even if you’re not up for taking the stage, this is a great place to see a few original songs from fellow festivalgoers. Kerrville Folk Festival is much more than a festival: It’s a gathering of like-minded people coming together to enjoy spectacular music in the Hill Country.
