Positioned perfectly within the path of totality, Austin Zoo offers an ideal setting for experiencing this rare phenomenon in all its splendor. Event Highlights: Eclipse Viewing Visitors will have the opportunity to safely observe the progression of the solar eclipse through specially equipped solar viewing glasses. As the moon gradually obscures the sun, experience the remarkable transition from daylight to twilight and back again. While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to explore the diverse array of animal habitats at Austin Zoo before and after the eclipse. Delve into the wonders of science and nature as we offer eclipse-themed educational talks. All Aboard! Hop aboard the train for a ride through the beautiful scenery around the zoo property during your visit. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy our Picnic Grove with plenty of space for you and your family to picnic during the event. Snacks and drinks are available for sale in the gift shop.
