Schlitterbahn New Braunfels

schlitterbahnSchlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark is known to be the “Hottest, Coolest Time in Texas” and voted world’s best waterpark for 26 years. The entire park stretches over more than 70 acres and features 45 rides and attractions, including miles of inner-tube chutes, river rides, mat slides, raft rides, body slides, tube slides and multiple water playgrounds for kids.

There are two separate parks to enjoy, and both parks are included with one admission ticket. Schlitterbahn West is the original section, and Schlitterbahn East includes three expansion areas, including Surfenburg, Blastenhoff, and Tubenbach. Guests travel between West and East on free shuttles provided by the park.

Families experience the new Schatze’s Storybrook Park area for children, featuring the world’s first water coaster for kids. Three themed lands in Schatze’s Storybrook Park include six slides, a giant 1,200-gallon tipping bucket, and more than 70 interactive water features, spray toys and splash pads. There are additional areas for kids in every section of the park.

Parkgoers beat the heat on 45 mild-to-wild rivers attractions in a unique natural setting. Tube chutes throughout the waterpark recreate a river tubing adventure, some using actual spring water from the neighboring Comal River. These tube chutes provide riders with up to 30-minutes of float time on a journey from one end of Schlitterbahn West to the other.

Schlitterbahn is well known for innovation in the waterpark world, being home to many first-of-its-kind attractions. The Surfenburg section contains Boogie Bahn, the world’s first surfing ride, and Dragon’s Revenge, the world’s first uphill water coaster. The Blastenhoff section features Torrent River, the world’s first tidal wave river, and the massive six-story Master Blaster, one of the world’s most famous uphill water coasters. The Tubenbach section is where guests experience The Falls, the world’s longest waterpark ride at over 3,600 feet in length.
