San Jacinto Museum Hours and Admission Prices
On April 21, 1836, in present-day Harris County, a Texian army led by General Sam Houston won the Battle of San Jacinto, forever sealing the location as the birthplace of Texas’ independence from Mexico. Today, the San Jacinto Museum of History in La Porte, just outside the Houston area, welcomes visitors seven days a week to tour the San Jacinto Monument, the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site, the San Jacinto Museum of History, the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Library, and the marsh trail and boardwalk. Wednesday - Sunday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Jesse H. Jones Theatre Hours
Wednesday - Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM
“Texas Forever!! The Battle of San Jacinto” is presented every hour, on the hour, beginning at 10 a.m.
San Jacinto Monument Observation Deck Hours
Wednesday - Sunday: 9 AM – 5:45 PM
San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site Hours
Open 7 days a week, 9 AM – 6 PM, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Albert and Ethel Herzstein Library Hours
The library is open by appointment on Fridays and some Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Check the calendar for scheduled Saturdays. Call (281) 479-2421 or library@sanjacinto-museum.org to make an appointment.
The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, December 24 – 25, and New Year’s Day.
