Laredo Birding Festival
Hundreds of species of local and migratory bird species call Laredo home throughout the year, making it a fantastic place to visit for birding enthusiasts. For the ultimate avian experience, attend the Laredo Birding Festival, an annual event that includes field trips, film screenings, special seminars, and workshops to help you get the most out of your birding experience. The event is held at the La Posada hotel in early February, a time of year that sees the highest concentration of bird species in Laredo and Webb County.

Taste of Laredo
Sink your teeth into delicious cuisine from around the world at Taste of Laredo. Professional chefs from local and national restaurants flock to the festival to prepare everything from fajitas to Chinese food, offering a savory treat for your taste buds. Taste of Laredo takes places in early February at the Laredo Energy Arena.

Laredo International Fair & Exposition
The Laredo International Fair & Exposition has everything you’d ever want in a fair. Livestock and fine arts shows, a baked goods competition and sale, pig races, gunfighter’s show, motorcycle rally, and a hot dog eating contest are all part of the festivities. Throughout each day of the five-day, early March festival, you’ll also find a petting zoo and carnival rides. All the fun concludes with a rousing concert that ends in the wee hours of the morning.

Laredo Sister Cities Festival
Shop for jewelry, clothing, food, and other items from all over Mexico and Central America right in Laredo! The Laredo Sister Cities Festival is a three-day event held at the Laredo Energy Arena in late July that features more than 190 exhibitors from south of the border. Admission is free, but with so many rare items on hand, you may want to bring your wallet.

TAMIU Alumni AutMus Fest
Enjoy fantastic live music for a great cause at the TAMIU Alumni AutMus Fest, one of the largest music festivals along the U.S.-Mexico border. Proceeds from the event, held on the campus of Texas A&M International University, go towards funding scholarships.
