Benjamin Knox Gallery
Benjamin Knox made a name for himself as “the Texas Aggie Artist,” creating loving homages to A&M traditions and spirit. Today you can find him in the historic College Station train depot a mile from campus, which now serves as his gallery, frame shop, and “Wine Depot,” a laid-back bar area offering wine flights, live music, and tasty street food. So even if you aren’t looking for a painting of an Aggie touchdown, you can still enjoy a fun evening in a laid-back environment.

Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial
Tucked away in College Station’s Veterans Park and Athletic Complex, the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial (BVVM), includes life-sized statues, a Wall of Honor, interpretive panels and memorial sites. Chartered in 2000 as a non-profit corporation, the BVVM is supported by generous community residents, organizations, and partners, including Brazos County and the City of College Station.

George Bush Presidential Library and Museum
With the Bush family’s close ties to the state, it was only fitting that the library dedicated to preserving George H.W. Bush’s presidential legacy resides on the campus of one of Texas’ most revered universities. Among the museum’s exhibits you’ll see thousands of objects - many of them interactive - related to his life and political career, as well as a World War II Avenger Torpedo Bomber and a 1947 Studebaker. Special events happen frequently, from book signings and lectures to family-friendly programs.

Hullabaloo Diner
In 2007, celebrity chef and TV personality Guy Fieri told America what folks in Aggieland already knew: Hullabaloo Diner is off the hook. Fieri flipped for the Italian sausage sandwich, but other favorites at this authentic 1940s-era diner include biscuits and gravy, bread pudding, and “Train Wreck” fries with bleu cheese, bacon, and buffalo ranch sauce.

Kyle Field
If you’re in the city of College Station on the right Saturday, you’ll probably start wondering where everyone went. The answer is, of course, Kyle Field. “Home of the 12th Man” since 1904, the arena is the fourth-largest of all stadiums in the country. On game days, you can easily spend a full day in and around the stadium, taking in the statues, cheering the Corps of Cadets and the team as they file into the stadium, and tailgating to your heart’s content.

Even if the weather outside isn’t frightful, there’s only one place in Aggieland where you can always count on getting in the Christmas spirit. Santa’s Wonderland draws merry-makers from as far as Houston and Austin for its brilliant displays on the Trail of Lights and all the rest of its holiday fun, from toboggan and train rides to live music performances and a petting zoo. Weekends can get busy, so visit on a weeknight if you can to beat the crowds.
