When you visit Early, you can’t miss the Spirit of Texas Winery, the only winery in the county. Kick back and enjoy good wine and great company, play games like giant Jenga and washers, and stick around for some live music. There’s more live entertainment to be had at the historic Lyric Theatre, which hosts plays, musicals, and other performances. Drop by the Lehnis Railroad Museum to discover the region’s railroad history, watch running model trains, and even ride on a mini train, and take in some local lore at the Brown County Museum of History.

There are more than 50 festivals and sporting events held in Early throughout the year, including Stagecoach Market Days (October) and the Wild Duck Marina Firework Bash (July).
