Music Made Here Concert Series
Why spend the evening at home when you could be dancing through downtown Garland? The Music Made Here Concert Series makes the choice a little easier by putting on a concert on the first Friday of every month, all year-round. Most concerts are free, with only a few requiring tickets. When it comes time to recharge your dancing energy, downtown Garland's amazing selection of restaurants is within walking distance. If the kids want their own kind of fun—or if they're just super embarrassed by mom's dance moves—they can play games against other kids in the activity area!

Art Made Here
Art Made Here is an art education event that turns Downtown Garland into an open-air studio. Look forward to hands-on crafts, live entertainment, and art showcases from local visual and performing artists. The Urban Market
Garland’s diverse arts scene is on full display during The Urban Market, an outdoor market held on the second Saturday of each month in Downtown Garland. Browse stalls of hand-selected vintage and handmade goods, then please your palate with some farm-fresh, locally sourced foods.

Asian American Heritage Festival
Garland's annual celebration of Asian-Pacific American communities fills the Square with cultural performances, a Colorful World Parade, lion dances, craft stalls, food vendors, and art displays. Free, outdoor, and built for all ages! Did you know Garland has one of the 15 biggest Vietnamese communities in the entire country?

Red, White, and You
Great music, delicious food, games, and fun for all ages, and a spectacular fireworks show; what better way to observe our nation’s Independence Day? All the festivities take place at Downtown Garland Square, where the day kicks off with the Presentation of Colors and patriotic songs. Admission is free, but you should consider arriving early as space fills up fast!

Garland Guzzler 0.5K Race & Fall Fest
Underachievers unite for a 0.5k race on the Downtown Garland Square. That is no typo; this is a POINT 5K which is only…546 yards, 500 meters, or 1,638 feet. When the competition is over, join your fellow racers for an evening of Fall Fest that includes live music, a kids zone, pumpkin patch photo-ops, pumpkin bowling, festive food, and all sorts of other autumn shenanigans.

The Wheels of Hope Car Show
On one fateful day in the fall, Garland’s downtown square is filled with eye-catching antique and classic cars. It's not just some crazy coincidence; they're participating in the Wheels of Hope Car Show! Admission to the car show is free, and proceeds from other purchases benefit The Hope Clinic, a local non-profit that provides medical care to local residents.

Dia de los Muertos
A free celebration honoring loved ones and Mexican traditions, launched in 2017 through a collaboration between the City of Garland, Garland ISD, and community leaders. Like a splash of color, Downtown Garland Square becomes awash in stunning live performances, aesthetically complex altars, food trucks, an artisan market, and themed t-shirts to keep the experience with you all year long.

Christmas on the Square
Fun in the snow is guaranteed at Garland’s annual Christmas celebration, with tubing and snowman building, train rides, food and crafts, live entertainment, and photos with the man in the red suit. It's the day Garland flips the switch not just on the Christmas tree, but on the Christmas season.
