Dewberry Jam Fiesta 5K and Kids 1K presented by Alpha Tau Delta
Lace up your running shoes for fun.  The 21^st Annual Dewberry Jam Fiesta 5K and Kids 1K will be held the first Sunday in May, at Rockdale’s Veterans Park.  Adults, Kids of all ages and Pets on leash are welcome.  Join in on the costumed festivities as awards will be given for the best dressed.  A Party in the Park follows the race with fun and food for the whole family!  Proceeds will help support community service projects and scholarships for high school seniors.

Rockdale Fall Music Festival
The Rockdale Fall Music Festival offers fun for the entire family with free Live Music all day and a street dance in the evening.  
Held the first Saturday in October, the event features Vendors and Activities for Kids.  The Historic Kay Theatre kicks off the morning with a 1K Kids Trick or Treat Fun Run and a 5K Zombie Run/Walk.  Bring 'Fido' on-leash to join in the fun too.

Rockdale Fair & Rodeo
Saddle Up for the Rockdale Fair & Rodeo held the third full weekend in October at Rockdale's Fair Park.  In addition to the Youth Livestock & Crafts Show, the Fair hosts an exciting schedule of events with something for everyone – including a BBQ Cookoff, Car Show, and Carnival.  Don’t miss the thrills in the arena with Barrel Racing, Buckin’ Broncos, Roping and more.  Each night, Thursday – Saturday, features live music for a variety of musical preferences like Tejano, Country, and Rock & Roll.

Fly Apache Pass RC’s Ice House Fly-In
Join RC operators from across the country at Fly Apache Pass RC’s annual Ice House Fly-In at Apache Pass for high-flying thrills for remote control airplane hobbyists and enthusiasts.  Camp out in your RV at Apache Pass or stay at one of Rockdale’s local hotels.

Kick off your holidays at Rockdale’s Whistle Stop Wine Tour & Holiday Lights Festival the Saturday before Thanksgiving!
First Stop to Enjoy Appetizers and Texas Wines is at the Historic I&GN Depot on Main Street where you’ll check-in and get your Tour Passport.  Hop on the Shuttle to more Wine Stops where you can Sip & Shop for Gifts at area Retailers and Local Vendors set up at Wolf Park. Enjoy Tree Lighting Ceremonies at nightfall and dance the night away at Wolf Park with Live Musical Performances.

Rockdale’s Holiday Parade & Santa’s Depot Visit
Enjoy Rockdale’s hometown holiday spirit the second Saturday in December.
Santa & Mrs Claus pay a visit Rockdale’s I&GN Depot which hosts fun for the whole family.  Enjoy a tour of the Depot museum, caboose & dining car, and model train display in the baggage room.  See blacksmithing demonstrations in the restored blacksmith shop.  Don’t miss storytime aboard the caboose and photos with Santa & Mrs Claus.
Stroll on down Main Street at sunset to see Rockdale’s lighted Holiday Parade of floats and decorated vehicles.  Enjoy the sounds of holiday music at Wolf Park while savoring local eats and shopping local vendors.
