Dumas/Moore County - D'Town BBQ Cook-Off
September 28-29
Teams from throughout Texas and surrounding states come to Dumas to compete in this two-day event sanctioned by the International Barbecue Cookers Association. Categories include brisket, ribs, pork shoulder/butt, chicken, and beans. Visitors are invited on Saturday to do a tasting of the team entries for a small donation and vote on the People’s Choice award. Cash prizes are awarded to winning teams, and all proceeds are donated to a different nonprofit organization each year. McDade Park, East 14th and Durrett streets.
