Texas’ Longest-Running LPGA Tour Event Held in The Colony

Watch the world's best female golfers compete in The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America. In addition to being the longest-running LPGA Tour event in Texas, the tournament offers an incredible fan experience through engaging family activities and elevated hospitality.

Taking place October 2 through 8, fans will enjoy milder Texas temperatures as they watch world-class golfers from viewing decks located along the acclaimed Old American Golf Club.

Nearly 150 of the sport's most talented female players compete in The Ascendant LPGA for a $1.8 million purse and bragging rights. Texas professional golfers have long been attracted to the tournament, which is played at the award-winning Golf Clubs at The Tribute. Former champions include Charley Hull (2022), Jin Young Ko (2021), Park Sung-hyun (2018), along with native Texans Angela Stanford (2020) and Cheyenne Knight (2019).

About the Host Club 

The tournament’s location on a secluded peninsula at the north end of The Colony on Lewisville Lake creates exceptional conditions for both playing and spectating. Both signature golf courses, Old American Golf Club and The Tribute Golf Links, pay tribute to the game's purest form. The Old American Golf Club is reminiscent of the "Golden Age" of American course architecture, while Tribute Golf Links brings to mind the top courses in Scotland, the birthplace of golf.

In addition to being a pro golf tournament, The Ascendant LPGA features a number of non-golf fan experiences. From BITE by the Lake’s signature samplings of local restaurants to on-site activities for all ages inside the Welcome Area, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Junior golfers have the opportunity to improve their skills with coaching from professionals during the First Tee Junior Golf Clinic, which offers tips and inspiration from LPGA players.

As a part of the Women's Leadership Summit, top executives present keynote talks and participate in a panel discussion on empowering women. Past event headliners include female leaders in industry, former athletes, and local celebrities.
