Junction Annual Sunset Easter Event

Held annually on the Saturday before Easter

Set at the foot of a picturesque limestone bluff, the annual Easter Pageant in Junction brings to life the story of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection.

Local actors of all ages gather under the setting sun to tell one of the most important tales of our time in a tradition that started more than 60 years ago. Witness it all for yourself in Junction, a small town where two pristine rivers meet on the western edge of the Texas Hill Country.

The Easter Pageant started with a reading by former Texas governor Coke Stevenson and has since evolved into a stunning outdoor spectacle.

Thespians dressed in period costumes are joined by animals to put on a show that plays out over the stage’s natural terrain that also incorporates lighting, three crosses, and a rock tomb. The performance starts after sunset and lasts for three hours, so make your way to the venue (located one mile from downtown Junction) in the early evening to get the best view.

Admission to the Easter Pageant is free and performances are held rain or shine, so come out to Junction to catch one of the most unique outdoor shows in Texas.
