Outlaws & Legends Music Festival in Abilene
A guitar’s strings are strummed; the crowd roars. The aromas of smoked brisket dance through the air as cowboy boots tap to the rhythm coming from the stage. In late March, some of the finest country musicians around gather among the wide-open spaces of West Texas for a legendary weekend of live music. The Outlaws & Legends Music Festival in Abilene has become an annual tradition for fans, friends, and families to toast a shared love for world-class music and the great outdoors under The Big Country sky.
This event packs an impressive lineup on one stage throughout the two days of the festival, so you won’t have to choose between talents—your ticket gets you access to all performances. The 2020 Outlaws & Legends Music Festival lineup has just been announced and it is full of some of the most famous outlaws and legends that have ever graced a stage, picked up a fiddle, sang us a tune. Performers at the festival’s 10th anniversary include Willie Nelson, Randy Houser, Deana Carter, Mark Powell, Kevin Fowler, Radney Foster, Charley Crockett, The Great Divide, Cooder Graw, Jamie Richards, Mike and the Moonpies, Curtis Grimes, Phil Hamilton, Erica Perry, The Hamilton’s, and Jerrod Medulla.
There is a designated area within the Outlaws & Legends Music Festival event space for campers, RVs, and tailgates. Plan ahead and reserve these limited-availability spots in advance to get access to the area the day before the music starts. The party continues under the stars for RV ticket holders overnighting throughout the festival weekend. Bring a grill and throw on some burgers and brats as you tailgate throughout the day. Coolers are allowed (there is a fee) but no glass containers.
When you buy a ticket or sponsor the Outlaws & Legends Music Festival, you’re not just preparing for a good time, you’re also supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the festival support the Ben Richey Boys Ranch & Family Program, a non-profit childcare facility that has a goal to provide each participant with the tools to grow into a productive, successful member of society. Since 2013, this festival has granted more than $300,000 in funding to the Ben Richey Boys Ranch & Family Program.
The Outlaws & Legends Music Festival takes place come rain or come shine so pack your cowboy boots and head to Abilene this March for a memorable weekend with some of your favorite musicians.
