Rotating exhibits keep return visits fresh and guided tours are available for a deeper look into Alvin's storied past.
Alvin Historical Train Depot
Built in 1907, the Alvin Train Depot served as a central hub for agriculture and commerce along the Santa Fe rail line. Today, the preserved structure stands as a symbol of Alvin's railroad roots and is available for private rentals and community events. As far as venues go, they don't get more unique or historic than this.

Slover-Rogers Cottage
A restored Victorian cottage built over eight years by a Civil War veteran to showcase his craftsmanship. The home features intricate gingerbread trim, twin turrets, massive pocket doors, and original furnishings. Guided tours walk visitors through 19th-century life and the story behind one of Alvin's most distinctive historic homes.
Historic Oak Park Cemetery
Oak Park Cemetery preserves an important chapter of both local and national history. It's the final resting place of Union and Confederate veterans, along with service members from the Spanish-American War through Vietnam. Many of Alvin's early civic leaders and founding families are also buried here, making it a reflective stop for anyone interested in the community's roots.
