Alvin Crawfest and Cook-Off
Held each March, this finger-licking festival draws thousands for live music, an IBCA-sanctioned cook-off, kid-friendly activities, food vendors, a cornhole tournament, and a lively beer garden. Presented by the Alvin Sunrise Rotary Club and the Alvin Convention and Visitors Bureau, it's a full-day celebration of Southeast Texas food, music, and community.
The Christmas Train
You can't have Christmas in Alvin without chugging hot chocolate, chewing on cookies, and chugga-chugga choo-chooing on The Christmas Train. The Christmas Train, an annual tradition in the city. takes guests on an immersive North Pole adventure with twinkling lights, storytelling, character encounters, and visits with Santa. It's become a cherished holiday event. So cherished, in fact, that advance tickets are recommended since it tends to sell out.
Froberg's Farm Fall Festival
What's more fun than jumping into a pile of leaves? Froberg's Farm Fall Festival, that's what! Navigate the famous corn maze, pick flowers in the flower garden, and enjoy unique attractions like duck races, face painting, glitter tattoos, pony hops, the Bee Coaster, and more. Kids will go nuts for Berry Fun Land—a farm-built playground. For family photos, the indoor pumpkin patch is the perfect spot.
Froberg's Strawberry Festival
From late winter until spring, Froberg's Farm puts on the sweetest celebration in Texas. The Strawberry Festival lets you pick your own berries straight from the fields, offers fresh seasonal treats, and has a big batch of family-friendly attractions. Frontier Days
Presented by the Alvin Rotary Club, Frontier Days is a full weekend of hometown fun. Saturday's lineup includes the Frontier Day Parade, kiddie rides, carnival attractions, a car and bike show, arts and crafts vendors, a business expo, food concessions, and live music. It's an Alvin tradition that covers all the bases.
Hispanic Heritage Fiesta
If you think you know community festivals, think otra vez. The Hispanic Heritage Fiesta livens up the city with traditional and modern Latin music, folkloric performances, local food vendors, and family-friendly activities. It's a vibrant event that highlights the traditions and heritage that help shape Alvin's identity.
Tour de Braz
A staple of April, Tour de Braz is a bike ride that welcomes several hundred cyclists every year of all ages and skill levels. Riders start at Alvin Community College and travel scenic routes through the Brazoria County countryside, with multiple route options to match different experience levels. The ride wraps up with food, drinks, and live music.
