Ring of Honor

Stephen F. Austin Statue
The 60-foot-tall statue, made in the likeness of Stephen F. Austin, is meant to commemorate the history of the area. Austin played a pivotal role in the colonization of the Brazoria County area by providing land grants to American settlers in the 1820s. The statue is located just south of Highway 35 along Highway 288.
