Historic Nance Farm
The Historic Nance Farm is a Victorian-style home built in the 1850’s by a prominent farmer from DeSoto’s early days. Today, the farm features the house, a windmill, curing shed, milking barn, and tank house.

Metroplex BMX
See expert bike riders race over dirt mounds at Metroplex BMX, the first covered and longest BMX racing facility in the United States. Check out the races or bring your own bike and do a few laps of your own. To do so, you’ll need to purchase a USA BMX membership and have all the required safety gear. Texas Helicopter Experience
Enjoy a jaw-dropping bird’s-eye view of the Dallas and Fort Worth Area with Texas Helicopter Experience, a tour company based in DeSoto. Cedar Hill State Park
With its sandy shore on the picturesque Joe Pool Lake, more than 1,200 acres of pristine terrain dotted with limestone hills, and miles of hiking and biking trails, Cedar Hill State Park is a true urban outdoor getaway. Hundreds of camp sites, plenty of space to go fishing, and the Penn Farm Agricultural History Center can be found within the park, which sits just 20 miles away from downtown Dallas and less than 10 from DeSoto.

International Museum of Cultures
Browsing the exhibits within the International Museum of Cultures is like going on an adventure to the world’s most remote regions.
