Run for the Roses
Strap on your best running shoes and get racing for a good cause! The Taylor Run for the Roses 5K run / walk is an athletic benefit event held for the Taylor Garden Club. The club provides scholarships to young people who are attending school for studies in ecology, horticulture, landscaping, arbor, and forestry. Awards will be given to winning participants in a variety of categories. Race is held on the 2nd Saturday at Murphy Park. Rain or Shine!

Martin Luther King Jr. March and Program
An honorary march is held to pay respect to one of the most well-known and revolutionary leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King Jr. at Fannie Robinson Park. The gathering begins with a march, followed by a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hops for Houses Craft Beer Festival
Crank up those tastebuds for the Hops for Houses Craft Beer Festival! With local craft beer from over 25 craft brewers located in the Central and North Texas area, you are in for a spirited event that’ll make your favorite beer snob envious. If that’s you, then come on down to Taylor. Plus, its for a good cause too. Hops for Houses is a fundraising event supporting Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County. There will be plenty of spirits, live music, raffle, food trucks, and more. Beer there or be square! Must be 21 years or older to attend.

Blackland Prairie Days Festival
Taylor Made Texas takes pride in their rich cultural heritage, and the Blackland Prairie Days Festival honors this tradition with live music, local goods, family-friendly activities, scrumptious food, and more. PRIDE Festival
Are you here and queer?! Then Taylor PRIDE Festival is for you! Even if you’re not, you are welcome to join in on the fun and celebratory event honoring the LGBTQ community in Taylor and all neighboring cities. Taylor PRIDE Festival falls on the same week as inaugural Pride Week in small towns throughout Central Texas. “Small Town, Big Pride!”
Blackland Bull Buck Out
Kickstart your summer with a bucking good time for a bucking good cause! The Taylor Blackland Bull Buck Out is a long-time running Taylor rodeo annual event held by the Taylor Rodeo Association. Financial donations and proceeds get funded back to the community for organizations such as the Dell Children’s Hospital, and scholarships for graduating seniors. Bull riding, vendors, food trucks, and more.

Independence Day
An all-day long Independence Day celebration in Taylor will have you singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” the whole way home. The day begins bright and early with a festive Independence Day Parade, followed by a mouth-watering ice cream social, yummy food trucks, toe-tapping live music, and blasts off into the late evening with a dazzling fireworks extravaganza.

Taylor Rodeo Association Annual Rodeo
Over 6 decades of nonstop riding and bucking, since 1950, the Taylor Rodeo Association has put on the Taylor Annual Rodeo. With more rodeo-goers every year, get ready for crowd-pleasing, edge-of-your-seat events like the Calf Scramble and Steer Saddling. This is an open rodeo, where local people rope and ride. Entertainment and excitement await!

Michelle’s Hot Peeps 5K
Racing for a good cause at Michelle’s Hot Peeps 5k is the perfect way to pay it forward this summer. Benefitting the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, all proceeds go to funding research and finding a cure for cholangiocarcinoma patients, a deadly cancer arising from bile ducts in the liver. Highly motivated runners, walkers, and kids capable of heading outdoors in the Texas heat are encouraged to join in.

Taylor International Barbecue Cookoff
Raising temperatures in all the right ways, the annual Taylor International Barbecue Cookoff is a real fire starter for your summer festivities. Taylor is famous for its BBQ and there’s no better way to know for sure than with a good ole’ fashioned cooking competition. With about 100 contestants and 7 divisions, including beef, ribs, pork, poultry, lamb, seafood, and wild game, there is endless BBQ to be savored. Once the final judging is completed, leftovers are collected and dished out to the needy by the Taylor Food pantries.

Mamma Jamma Ride
Cyclists unite! The Mamma Jamma Ride is a fun bike riding event to raise funds to support Lone Star Circle Care’s Big Pink Bus mobile mammogram service. Routes of 15, 25, 50, and 70 miles are available. Join the fight to beat breast cancer and get riding!

Taylor SPJST Barbecue Cookoff
An annual Taylor BBQ cookoff is just what the doctor ordered for all chefs and spectators alike! Watch about 100 teams take on the challenge in a variety of divisions. Prize money awarded.

Good Life Festival and 5K
The good life just keeps getting better. The Taylor Good Life Festival and 5K brings together visitors and locals to celebrate community through friends, families, children, and pet lovers. Focusing on the simple and wholesome activities that make Taylor special, like parks, pets, home gardening, and poultry keeping, this fundraising event goes to specially selected community projects. Be prepared for a poultry petting zoo, fun games, delicious food, and an early morning 5k race followed by the Kids K. This event is free.

Williamson County Fair and Rodeo
The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo is an action-packed, 4-day event! Shop around at local vendors, have a bite to eat at finger lickin’ food trucks, and grab yourself a ice cold one at the beer and wine garden. Entertainment includes kid-friendly petting zoos, shoulder-shimmying live music, swiftly swine (also known as pig races), stick horse races, carnival festivities, and The Paul Bunyon Show. The fun never ends at the Williamson County Fair and Rodeo!

Main Street Car Show
If you love classic rides and bona fide hot rods, come on down to the Taylor Main Street Car Show. Set your sights on cool historic cars and vintage automobiles from the good ole days. Enjoy live music, food trucks, shopping, and refreshing locally made beer. With over 10,000 annual attendees, you’ll want to cruise on over early!

Veterans 5K Beer Run
Buzz on through Murphy Park for the Veterans 5K Beer Run in Taylor. Sample thirst-quenching locally crafted beer as you run and walk beautiful hiking and biking trails. Male and Female Beer Run Champions are required to drink beer at each station. Loads of music, food, and Taylor Made beer for all to enjoy. This event helps support the American Legion, American Legion Charities, and Veteran’s Services in East Williamson County. Must be 21 years or older to attend.

Mistletoe Market and Christmas Fair
You can’t go wrong when you shop local, especially during the holiday season. Mistletoe Market and Christmas Fair turns up the fun with a special series of holiday events throughout the weekend. Handmade goods by local craftsman and artisans will be available the whole weekend through. Other entertainment includes a Mistletoe Kissing Booth, local carolers, and Texas-style nativity scenes for plenty of photo opportunities.

Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting
Float on over to Taylor for a spectacular Christmas Parade and tree lighting ceremony. Holiday spirits are up and so is the Taylor Christmas tree!
