Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a unique outdoor auditorium known as one of the premier concert venues in the Houston area. Throughout each year, the pavilion hosts big-name acts like Journey, Mumford & Sons, Van Halen, and Drake along with performances by the Houston Symphony and Houston Ballet. In addition to its 17,000 seats, the pavilion has open seating on a hill that overlooks the stage, setting it apart as a one-of-a-kind arena.

George Mitchell Nature Preserve
Explore about five miles of natural surface hiking and biking trails that wind between towering pine trees at the George Mitchell Nature Preserve, a nearly 1,700-acre park nestled on the southern side of The Woodlands. This protected area is home to a variety of wildlife, making it a great place to go if you’re interested in doing some birdwatching or wildlife spotting.

Market Street
Luxury shopping, fine dining, and a small-town feel; that’s exactly what you’ll enjoy when you visit Market Street in The Woodlands. Top brand names such as Tiffany & Co. and Michael Kors are among the many shops in Market Street, while the dining options include Texas’ only Tommy Bahama restaurant and Jasper’s. Along with the stores and restaurants, Market Street features a Cinemark movie theatre and an open plaza that gives kids space to play.

Northshore Park
Northshore Park is an all-in-one public space that provides kayak and canoe access to Lake Woodlands along with a field, playground, waterside picnic spots, sand volleyball courts, and a workout area. From the late spring until early fall, the park hosts Concert in The Park, a free live music series.

Riva Row Boat House
Kayaking Lake Woodlands is one of the best ways to enjoy an afternoon in The Woodlands. Unless you own your own kayak, you’ll need to head to Riva Row Boat House. Located near the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the boat house offers rentals of single and tandem kayaks throughout the year. From the boat house, you’ll paddle through a scenic canal flanked by tall grass and pine trees until you reach the lake, where your adventure begins.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum
Let your youngster’s imagination run wild at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, an 11,000-square-foot compendium of interactive educational exhibits that delight and inspire children younger than seven. The museum is open seven days a week Memorial Day through Labor Day and Tuesday through Sunday throughout the rest of the year.

The Woodlands Hike & Bike Trails
The more than 160 miles of pathways and trails that wind throughout The Woodlands makes the city one of the best places to go for urban hiking, biking, and running. These connected trails, separated from the town’s busy roads, provide a safe and continuous path for short and long-distance runners and bikers alike. Explore the trails and you’ll pass many of The Woodlands' top spots, such as The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street, and Lake Woodlands.

For high-end shopping in the Houston area, it’s hard to beat The Woodlands Mall. Big-name department stores like Dillard’s and Macy’s are alongside dozens of shops like Abercrombie Kids, Coach, and Fossil in this two-story mall.
