Second Saturday Market Days & Concerts

Georgetown’s Second Saturday Market Days & Concerts is a nine-month-long recurring event that features an open-air market with food and craft vendors. The festivities take place on the second Saturday from March through November on the Georgetown square.

The Georgetown Swirl

Tasty Texas wines, savory eats from local restaurants, and some of the finest shopping you’ll find anywhere. If this sounds like your kind of fun, then don’t miss The Georgetown Swirl, a fun and festive annual event held on the downtown Georgetown square. Tickets for the event are available online, and a portion of the proceeds go to supporting local organizations.

Red Poppy Festival

The Red Poppy Festival is a celebration of spring and the blooming of the red poppy flower. Live music on three stages, over 100 handcrafted artisans, great food, an art contest, a car show, a kids area, and a parade are part of the event, held on the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas in late April. Free admission!

July 

4th of July in San Gabriel Park

The July 4th Celebration and fireworks are held annually on July 4th. Activities and live music begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 10:30 p.m. The festival also includes arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, including a beer and wine vendor, a petting zoo, classic and antique cars, games, and rides for children and adults. Admission to the event is free; however, there are fees for some activities. Please do not bring dogs to the fireworks show. The fireworks display begins at about 9:30 p.m.

The Blazin’ Beer Crawl

The Blazin’ Beer Crawl is a self-paced walking event featuring craft beer tastings inside our downtown retail stores and restaurants. Ticket holders will receive a map of all the participating locations and can choose the order in which to sample and visit merchants. Hot and spicy snacks will be available at various participating merchant locations. Restaurants will have event-day specials. Food trucks will be set up for additional food options during the event. The Blazin’ Beer Crawl takes place in early August.

The Annual Lighting of the Square

Come experience the magic as we kick off the holiday season with our annual Lighting of the Square, traditionally held at 5:30 p.m. the Friday after Thanksgiving! Sing along with the Uptown Carolers to your favorite holiday tunes and see the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas all lit up for the holidays. This is a free event. The downtown holiday lights will remain lit every evening through January 1.

Christmas Stroll

Get your Christmas season started with the annual Christmas Stroll in downtown Georgetown. Browse more than 100 food and craft vendors, visit the square’s shops and restaurants, and take in all the colorful holiday lights and jolly window displays. Special attractions, such as the Whoo-Village play zone, Bethlehem Village, and the Artisan & Crafters Village, add to the many things to see and do at the early December event.
