Arcade 92

Chestnut Square Heritage Village
Chestnut Square Historic Village is a collection of six historic homes, a replica of a one-room schoolhouse, a wedding chapel, and a general store on 2.5 acres just south of downtown McKinney square. The grounds also include a blacksmith shop, smokehouse, reception house, and reception gardens as well as resident goats and chickens. The buildings, which can be toured on Thursdays and Saturdays, include period artifacts showing how people lived in Collin County from 1854-1940. This village is home to one of the top Farmer's Markets in the country, as well as the largest collection of ice cream freezers and related items in the world.

Collin County History Museum
The museum is located in the historic 1911 Post Office building.  It's a great place to discover historical artifacts, photographs, documents, diaries, manuscripts, maps, archival newspapers, and land records. The Collin County History Museum makes learning a fun experience and provides valuable research information for genealogists, historians, authors, teachers, and students.

Erwin Park

Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary
The interactive exhibits in the Heart Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary make learning fun for kids of all ages. Children are introduced to the fundamentals of biology, ecology, and geology inside the museum through areas like the interactive Living Lab, while outside they experience first-hand the wonders of nature in a 289-acre wildlife sanctuary.
