Doc Holliday Saints and Sinners Festival

Step back into the Wild West at the Doc Holliday Saints & Sinners Festival, celebrating Denison's frontier roots and its days as a booming railroad town in the 1870s and 1880s, when Doc Holliday operated a dental office downtown. Experience authentic Old West reenactors, staged gunfights, wagon rides, Wild West photo opportunities, authors and historians, kids' activities, a petting zoo, live music, food vendors, and more during this family-friendly celebration.

Downtown Denison Farmers Market

Summer

Music On Main

Music on Main is Denison's signature summer concert series, held every Friday evening from June through July at Forest Park. This free, family-friendly event features live music, local vendors, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Before each concert, tune in to the Music Alley Happy Hour livestream at 6:30 p.m. or grab dinner from one of Downtown Denison's restaurants. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy an evening of live entertainment under the stars.

Eisenhower’s Birthday Celebration

Celebrate the birthday of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Denison's most famous native son, with a day of history and patriotic activities. The celebration features a Brick Dedication Ceremony at the Eisenhower Monument, free tours of the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site, crafts and family activities, a performance by the Scott Middle School Band, and free admission to the Perrin Air Force Base Museum and Red River Railroad Museum.

Denison Main Street Fall Festival

Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Denison with live music, the Chamber’s Hot Cocoa Competition, visits with Santa, and the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting. After the tree begins to glow, festive floats, performers, community groups, and Santa make their way down Main Street during the annual Christmas Parade.
